Applications:

• Used in the production of rechargeable batteries, particularly lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles and consumer electronics
• Employed in the production of lightweight alloys used in aerospace and military applications
• Used in heat-resistant glass and ceramics production
• Involved in the synthesis of lithium compounds such as lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide, which are used in various industrial processes
• Used as a reducing agent in organic synthesis
• Involved in pharmaceutical applications, including the treatment of bipolar disorder

Storage and Safety:

• Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, away from water and moisture. Keep containers tightly sealed. Avoid contact with air and moisture
• Handling: Handle with care, using appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves, eye protection, protective clothing). Avoid inhalation of dust and direct contact with skin or eyes. Work in a well-ventilated area
• Fire Safety: Lithium metal is highly reactive and flammable. In case of fire, use dry chemical fire extinguishers, sand, or Class D fire extinguishers. Do not use water to extinguish lithium metal fires as it will react violently with water
